Re: A.T.R.'s Duty Knives Thread

Pocket one is a Strider SMF and pocket two is a Strider PT, can't go wrong with them. If they can't get the job done nothing will. (yeah I'm a Strider fanboy)

Occasionally will carry my CQC10 as it holds a wicked edge and the wave is awesome.

All western provinces have blanket exceptions for emergency services; peace officers, fire, ambulance. Rather pedantic to separate out every individual job title and exception.

Yes I would agree. I would even venture to say that it is shallow and pedantic.

Re: Nice job your Honour...

I do not comprehend what the quandary is. Gotchya is merely imparting his assessment based on his particularized discernment. Reminiscent of what the venerated judge did. However in this occurrence I would deem it safe to infer, much like another thread, individuals should concur to be dissimilar. P...

Re: Question on Canadian Gun laws

I don't know what more we could possibly have in terms of stringent gun control in Canada. We do not have the same gun culture as the US and quite frankly nor should we. I will not bother trying to debate further as this issue is very contentious and rarely do people change their views regardless of...

Re: Question on Canadian Gun laws

I can't believe I'm going to wade in on this one.... If people try to attempt suicide and there is a gun readily available, for the most part, it will be easier than many other methods. What I see in the quotes is that the suicide rates are higher in homes with guns, does this data include attempted...

Re: Star reporter on those darn talking and driving cops

It is a safety issue and to be honest myself and my peers only use the phone when it is absolutely necessary. However we are all trained to a higher extent than the vast majority of the motoring public as our job sometimes requires us to break traffic laws. I sometimes need to drive with my lights a...

Re: Remembrance Day

I was part of the colour party at a school ceremony and was moved by how respectful the kids were and the time that was put into it. I also attended participated in our main ceremony here and it was awesome. My grandfather in law, a ww2 vet, was there, and it was an honour to finally have him there ...

Re: Advanced Use of Force Training

Another security guard company offering mumbo jumbo to the uneducated masses of wannabe Ninjas, these guys, to a man all offer their “expertise” but never provided details on the expert who will provide the training. Just another flash in pan group making cash off kids. Don't be so quick to judge. ...

Re: A.T.R.'s Duty Knives Thread

A couple of months ago iattended a CBC/MBC course put on by Michael Janich. After a little bit of digging I was finally able to score a Yojimbo2. Really liking it as an EDC for work. On a side note I splurged and bought a Wicked Edge sharpener and I freakin love it. I could get a very sharp edge fre...

M&P Handcuffs

Anybody have any experience using these handcuffs with the lever lock for double locking? I just saw a pair today and was kind of interested as its a very simple double locking principle that at first glance, appears as though it would be easier under SNS activation. I'm worried about the possibilit...
