Mike
Not an accurate statement.
It is helpful for those who need help in their fitness. Certainly not a deal breaker.

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
It's anticipated that there will be 3 classes next year. The start dates haven't been set yet. So February is a possibility.
The training centre move will be sometime in the spring.

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
Hiring will be strong until the end of 2016. There are 2 classes of around 35 left for this year. In 2017, hiring will drop to 2 classes of 35 per year.

Not for 2016, maybe some slightly reduced hiring in 2017, but not by much. Always lots of attrition/retiring going on.

Re: plantar fasciitis
Yeah I just developed it in my left foot in the last couple weeks. Annoying. Funny this thread just got revived. I have been stepping on a golf ball and rolling it around, but I might have to try the splint out. But I think it came on from doing a few squad runs in shitty shoes. I was going to run ...

Re: plantar fasciitis
I developed it recently as well. Got orthotics and they helped somewhat. I think that Dr. Scholl's helped me more and didn't have the price tag. The thing that helped the most was wearing the splint /sock at night. Really helps with the morning pain. It keeps your foot streched out all night. Most p...

Re: Middle of nowhere
I would think it's probably better to apply with big services that are hiring a lot, compared to a small town force that may only hire a short few. And I'm sure if those small towns are looking for applicants, they probably would prefer their own to apply. I would try growing cities, such as Edmont...

http://www.edmontonjournal.com/news/edmonton/Police+union+slams+Edmonton+city+budget/10464936/story.html Do you figure this changes anything much for future recruit classes? No Loadie's right. Means that EPS was granted 87 new officers of the 136 it asked for. This is in addition to the normal numb...

Lol Now I know I'm gonna make it. There's just too many people to prove wrong. Can't resist. Look up my "The Sad Truth Cannot get hired" thread. Then you come back and tell us what you rate yourself as based on your competitive factor. Yea but you didn't answer my question. Technically th...
